Notes

  • Broccoli is part of the cruciferous vegetable family, along with cauliflower, cabbage and kale. Broccoli is a good source of fiber and protein, and contains iron, potassium, calcium, selenium and magnesium as well as the vitamins A, C, E, K and a good array of B vitamins including folic acid.
  • Goji berries are loaded with fiber, iron, and vitamins A and C. Both Vitamin A and C play a central role in immune function and acts as antioxidants in your body.  Antioxidants are compounds that help neutralize harmful molecules called free radicals, preventing damage to body cells.
