For over 25 years Back To Basics have developed nutrition solutions for South African miners. We specialise in formulating and supplying structured products designed to fit client nutritional needs for their workforces.

We work together with clients Risk Assessment personnel, our own Food Scientist supported by Dieticians who formulate sustainable energy solutions through supplementation solutions.
THE PRODUCT
Our supplements were developed according to shift worker nutritional needs.
This is critical due to the changing environment and circumstances of the workforces in mining and industry. The majority of miners live off site and are responsible for their own accommodation, travel and food consumption requirements.
Due to a lack of knowledge with regards to nutritional requirements pertaining to their jobs or a lack of funds or both, it has led to widespread, impaired nutritional status.
An incorrect diet impacts the health and the productivity negatively
This has led to a substantial increase in occupational health costs of the client as a result of increasing levels of obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure amongst other ailments.
